MailChimp / Mandrill

MailChimp is a service that, among other things, can be used to organise and analyse the sending of newsletters. Our website uses MailChimp services to send newsletters and transactional emails (automated emails with information about your order). This service is provided by Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.

MailChimp is a certified company under the ‘EU-US Privacy Shield’. The ‘Privacy Shield’ is an agreement between the European Union (EU) and the USA, which aims to ensure compliance with European data protection standards in the USA.

With the help of MailChimp, we are able to analyse our newsletter campaigns. When you open an email sent via MailChimp, a file contained in the email (known as a web beacon) connects to MailChimp's servers in the USA. This makes it possible to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, have been clicked on. In addition to this, technical information is also collected (e.g., time of retrieval, IP address, browser type and operating system). This information cannot be traced back to the respective newsletter recipient. It is used exclusively for the statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The result of this analysis can be used to better adapt future newsletters to the interests of the recipients.

If you do not want to have your data analysed by MailChimp, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a corresponding link in every newsletter message for this purpose. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter by phone or email.

The data provided to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. After unsubscribing, the data will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list. Data that has been stored by us for other purposes will remain unaffected by this.

Your email address may be stored in a blacklist by us or the newsletter service provider after you have unsubscribed from the newsletter distribution list in order to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist will only be used for this purpose and will not be merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with the legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO). There is no time limit on how long your data is stored in the blacklist. If your interests outweigh our legitimate interest, you may object to this storage.

For more details, please refer to MailChimp's privacy policy at: %link_mailchimp%.

Credit Assessments and Scoring

Provided that you have given us your express consent, we reserve the right to obtain information on your identity and creditworthiness from specialised service providers (credit agencies). In order to do so, we transmit the personal data necessary to carry out a credit assessment to the following company(ies):

For Orders to Germany

SCHUFA Holding AG
Kormoranweg 5
65201 Wiesbaden

For Orders to Great Britain

KSV1870 Holding AG
Wagenseilgasse 7
1120 Vienna

For Orders to Great Britain

CRIF AG
Hagenholzstrasse 81
8050 Zurich

The creditworthiness check may involve probability values (scores) which are calculated on the basis of scientifically recognised mathematical-statistical algorithms and in the calculation of which, among other things, your address data is included. We use the information obtained on the statistical probability of a payment default to make a balanced decision regarding the establishment, implementation, or termination of any contractual relationship. You may withdraw your consent at any time by sending a message to the contact details below. This may mean that we can no longer offer you certain payment options.

Right to Access Information and Contact Details

You have the right to access, free of charge, any personal data we have stored and, if applicable, you also have the right to have this data corrected, suspended or deleted. If you have any questions regarding the collection, processing, or use of your personal data, or if you wish to request access to, or the correction, suspension or deletion of your data, or if you wish to revoke your consent or object to a particular use of your data, please contact us directly using the contact details in our legal notice.

Data Protection

Your personal data is encrypted during the ordering process and transmitted via the internet using SSL.

We protect our website and other systems using both technical and administrative measures to prevent any loss, destruction, access, alteration, or dissemination of your data by unauthorised persons.
